Weekend Links

  • We don't usually have cable, but we like to have it just for the Olympics. We had a blast watching the Opening Ceremonies last night and I have an enormous amount of pride welling up inside of me for the United States athletes. Here are some inspiring Olympic commercials I love. I am pumped.

  • Foundry Collective just launched a fantastic new website. Check out their work. Now.

  • Several times this year in conversation I have referenced this Fast Company article on under-promising and over-delivering.

  • If you're in San Diego this next Friday (August 3), I will be playing an acoustic set in Mission Hills at the Soul Care House. You can RSVP here ... should be a great night!

  • Lacey and I just got back from the most rewarding time away on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. It was everything we needed in a vacation. I loved reading Walter Isaacson's biography of Steve Jobs, Jason Fried's Rework and starting Bob Kauflin's Worship Matters.

  • Right after driving through the US/Canada border, we picked up the new Passion Pit record, Gossamer, to help us make it to the airport. I am really digging "Cry Like A Ghost".

  • And here are a few photos from the trip:
