I came across this creative ad from Dodge and I love everything about it.

Hard to believe that the Olympics end on Sunday! We've thoroughly enjoyed watching along with the world. Usain Bolt is a beast. And can you imagine if he actually ended up playing for Manchester United?
You may have seen this floating around the internet this week, but the New York Times put out a really interesting look at the history of medalists in the 100-meter sprint.

I was encouraged when I heard these words this week: "God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which he must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves." -A.W. Tozer
Talk about brutal taxes. This could drive France insane, or a lot of people out of there.
Mumford & Sons are back! It is exciting to hear this song in anticipation for the rest to follow.
- Last but not least, happy birthday to my Dad! So thankful to be your son.
Lacey and I have been watching a lot of the Olympics (we got cable just for the occasion) and we have loved every second (except for when the commentators talk about Michael Phelps not being as good this time around as he was in Beijing).
As far as music to get you in the Olympic spirit, Walk The Moon's lead singer teamed up with French electronic artist, Madeon, for a song airing on NBC during the Olympic coverage. This song is sure to get your fist pumping.

And if you've made it this far down and you're in San Diego, I am playing some songs tonight at the Soul Care House and would love to see you there.
We don't usually have cable, but we like to have it just for the Olympics. We had a blast watching the Opening Ceremonies last night and I have an enormous amount of pride welling up inside of me for the United States athletes. Here are some inspiring Olympic commercials I love. I am pumped.
Foundry Collective just launched a fantastic new website. Check out their work. Now.
Several times this year in conversation I have referenced this Fast Company article on under-promising and over-delivering.
Lacey and I just got back from the most rewarding time away on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. It was everything we needed in a vacation. I loved reading Walter Isaacson's biography of Steve Jobs, Jason Fried's Rework and starting Bob Kauflin's Worship Matters.
Right after driving through the US/Canada border, we picked up the new Passion Pit record, Gossamer, to help us make it to the airport. I am really digging "Cry Like A Ghost".
And here are a few photos from the trip:
